There is plenty of information available on back pain, but not everything is really helpful. I came across a wonderful book by Esther Gokhale, which is titled “8 Steps to a Pain-Free Back: Natural Posture Solutions for Pain in the Back, Neck, Shoulder, Hip, Knee, and Foot“. It is not just another book about back pain, it is something different.
We all know how many people suffer from back pain today – this is caused by the modern sedentary lifestyle, bad environment and unhealthy eating habits. But there are ways to fight these things and claim your healthy back… back!
The unique approach of the author is that she studied places where people did not know what the back pain was. She learnt what makes it possible to keep your back and spine in a healthy state, and it is what she shares with us in her healing back pain book.
From the official side the book received many positive reviews; from the personal side, well, let’s see…
This is really the best book on back pain, or at least one of the best. Why? Because it has all the required information to cure your back. Gokhale, the author, shows us what is the best posture (since posture is the most common cause of back pain), and what is the proper alignment; the book is full of images to visually present the author’s points.
Her method is very simple in essence; there is some time you need to spend learning what she has to offer, but once you mastered it, you won’t spend tons of time for proper care of your back.
The book setting is the information presentation is really well done; everything if nicely laid out, plenty of pictures and moderately detailed explanations.
The interesting thing is that the book is relatively cheap! Yes, it’s usually hard to find a decent thing to be cheap, but this one should not be discarded just because of the low price!
This book helped me to get rid of lower back pain; I recommended it to my mother – she had a neck pain – now she feels much better without an exhaustive exercises or a complicated therapy. The solution offered in the book also helps to eliminate chronic back pain. The “stretch sitting” and “stretch lying” methods are easy to understand and put into life, so you won’t be lost with them; instead you will get a great relief for your back muscles and spine using very simple techniques!
Another interesting thing is the informational part. I’m sorry if my review is a bit crumpled – I got the book not so long ago, but really happy with it. I’m describing here what comes to my mind right now, and seeing the results I got, and my mother is getting, I definitely want to share this information with my readers. The book itself is nice and easy to read; it is just like a study but with a fine balance between the text and photos. I hope the book will be available in Kindle edition too.
If you really want to stop your pain, and give your back a second life, then get the book now!

It is a great book! I love the images and refer to them all the time to imprint in my mind the posture I am working towards. There’s a great video on youtube with Esther giving a talk at Google:

You can see a demonstration of stretchsitting, and people in the audience having their particular situations addressed.
By learning stretchlying on my back from the book, I was able to sleep through the night and wake up without any lower back pain!
I really like Esther’s book, but the book that helped me the most is Low Back Disorders by Stuart McGill. I hadn’t been able to do back exercises for a year until I found this book. It teaches you how to do exercises with a neutral spine that strengthen and balance allof your core back muscles. The secret is if you do exercises with a neutral spine you cannot hurt or aggrevate your current back problems. I would like to see Esther combine McGill’s big three core back exercises with all of her other great ideas in her book and you would have the perfect solution to back problems.
