Is Scoliosis Curable At Home?

One person asked me how to cure scoliosis at home, was it possible at all? Of course it will depend on the scoliosis stage and the age of a person, but it is possible.

The first thing one has to understand is that the possible causes of scoliosis should be eliminated because otherwise such home scoliosis treatment will be almost useless. Actually there is a number of causes and there are some serious ones that are difficult or even impossible to deal with at home without any professional assistance. Among the simple ones the most common cause of scoliosis is a bad posture; to address it one has to watch their posture throughout the day and correct it if needed. There are things that may also cause scoliosis like trauma or disease, but generally restoring a proper posture will give the most benefit.

Now, when you work on your causes, you need to bring your muscles into tone – I’m talking about pack muscles. You need to regularly perform physical exercises laying on your stomach and working with the back muscles. The simple exercises include rising your head, raising your legs wile lying on the belly. There is another good exercise when you lie on your back and raise your legs until they get perpendicular to the floor; then you lower them slowly back.

Why Should You Train Your Spinal Muscles?

These muscles once get stronger; will be able to straighten your spine. Well, there is a limitation here though: the possibility to completely straighten your spin exists until you reach 12 years of age; after that time it is getting more and more difficult with each year, but you need to understand the simple thing: if your spine muscles will be strong enough, they will still keep your spine in a proper position.

Our bones are supported by the muscles, hence the obvious reason to train your back muscles – this will protect your spine from possible injuries and help keep the correct posture. Thus you will be able to cure scoliosis, at least to some extent. Another point is that the level of your advancement in your home scoliosis treatment will largely depend on how strong your desire to cure scoliosis is; if it is strong enough to make it possible for you to exercise regularly and progressively, and then you have every chance to treat your scoliosis successfully at home.
