What To Do With Pain In Right Lower Back During Pregnancy

An incorrect posture is one of the most common problems that cause pain in right lower back. How will you do that? Stand straight, relax your shoulders and try to keep them slightly back; hold your chest high, and don’t make your knees locked. But don’t stand for long time. If you sit for long time, they take some brakes in between to stand strait; keep a proper posture while you sit as well, but do not hold back hard, try to keep a correct posture and remain relaxed.
Try to wear low-heeled shoes that offer good arch support and maternity pants with a low, supportive waistband, or even a support belt for mothers. It is not required, but if you feel to be helpful then it’s great. It can help reduce discomfort in right lower back during pregnancy.
When you lift things, do it with your legs and not through bending to the floor; squat down and lift standing up. But don’t lift heavy things – you don’t have to prove your self-sufficiency, pregnancy is a period when you need to be cared about just as you care about your baby.
When you sleep, do it on your side, but not on your back. Knees should be bent, and you can also add a pillow between them.
You can try heating your back or apply ice pack to ease the pain, but don’t overuse it to protect your baby. Going for a professional prenatal massage can be a good idea too. You can also regularly perform some mild physical activity, some sort of gentle exercises to make your body stronger – this will not only help to reduce lower back pain, but can make the delivery easier and less painful.
